It deeply integrates archival materials such as Yan Xishan's telegrams and Chiang Kai-shek's diaries, supplementing previously overlooked local details and the decision-making logic of rulers. Simultaneously, it incorporates domestic political and social dynamics in Japan and the international situation, offering a cross-national empirical perspective. What is even more unique is its extension to post-war memory and historical policies, filling the gap after the "endpoint" of the war in existing research, presenting a dynamic historical panorama, and helping readers update their cognitive framework.
