 Good to Very Good Vintage Condition. Bound in its original brown cloth hardcover with gilded lettering on the spine. The binding remains strong, with the spine displaying typical light shelf wear and minor bumping to the head and tail. Internally, the text blocks and endpapers display noticeable, authentic vintage foxing (age-spotting) characteristic of 1920s British paper stocks. However, the illustrative plates themselves retain excellent clarity and crispness, with clean images and only light marginal spotting. The front pastedown boasts an extraordinary provenance element: an original vintage bookseller label from the legendary "Isseido Booksellers" in Kanda, Tokyo.
