Comprehension Set (1930-1954)

Hannah Arendt (1906-1975) was a German-American Jewish philosopher born in Hanover, Germany. She studied under Heidegger and Jaspers, earning her doctorate from Heidelberg University. In 1941, she immigrated to the United States, becoming a naturalized citizen in 1951. From 1954 onwards, Arendt lectured at the University of California, Princeton University, Columbia University, and Brooklyn College in New York. Beginning in 1963, she served as a professor at the University of Chicago and the New School for Social Research. With works such as "The Human Condition," "Eichmann in Jerusalem," and "Between Past and Future," Arendt became one of the most original and influential political thinkers of the 20th century.
