Ms. Ren Xiang's keen sensitivity to the beauty of traditional culture has a rich origin. Her esteemed mother was the renowned doyen of Taiwanese Peking Opera, Ms. Gu Zhengqiu. Ms. Gu Zhengqiu's Peking Opera artistry perfectly showcased the ultimate beauty of our traditional culture. In my youth, I had the privilege of watching Ms. Gu Zhengqiu's representative work, "The Unicorn Pouch," at the Yongle Theater in Taipei. A segment of "Liushui" was so moving and soaring that it still lingers in my memory. Ms. Ren Xiang was immersed in this art from an early age, so it's no wonder she could create such exquisite picture books. "The Art of Living" ("Chuan Jia") stems from "family heritage" ("jia chuan").
