with Alex Wang
March 25, 2026|In English
We are at a pivotal moment in global environmental governance. While China champions green development, the U.S. has retreated from the Paris Agreement and renewable energy. Prof. Alex Wang discusses how China promotes its "developmental environmentalism" through green ideology, diplomacy, and economic statecraft. The talk will touch on case studies from green investments in Chile to environmental conflicts in Kenya to hydropower in Southeast Asia.
